If you received an error message indicating there was not enough space on your child's device to move forward with installation, it may be time to clear up some space. To be clear, there is not a specific amount of space required to complete installation, so you'll want to be sure to make as much space as possible by removing any unwanted or unused apps, games, videos, or photos from your child's device.
We suggest performing a backup of your child’s device before moving forward to ensure that the deleted material can be returned to the device later. You can follow the instructions in this Apple Support article to take a fresh backup of your child’s device. Then follow the instructions below to make more room.
- On your child’s device, open the iOS Settings > General > iPhone/Pad Storage / Storage & iCloud Usage.
- Enable ‘Offload Unused Apps’
- All apps installed on your child’s device will be listed in order of space consumption. Tap and delete the top non-iOS/native apps from the device (ie. installed apps, not iOS functions like Photos).
- Try again to restore the OurPact Premium backup to your child's device.
