There are several different reasons why a child device may be 'stuck' in a blocked state:
An "Until I Say so" Block is Active
When 'Until I Say So' blocks are active from your parent app, your child's devices remain blocked indefinitely, until you send a new command in your parent app. This means that when 'Until I Say So' blocks are active, your child cannot play Screen Time Allowance within OurPact Jr. (if your family doesn't use Screen Time Allowance, your child's device would remain blocked outside of schedule block times).
‘Please open your parent app, and navigate to your child’s profile. If you see an “Until I Say So" Block is active, tap Cancel Override.
Connectivity Issues
Without a consistent, strong internet connection, your child's device will not be able to receive new commands from your parent app. Please ensure your parent and child devices are both connected to a strong WiFi or cellular network when rules are being changed within OurPact.
Allowance is Enabled (Premium/Premium+ Only)
When the Allowance feature is toggled ON in your parent app, your child's device will be in a default blocked state, even outside of their scheduled block times.
When Allowance is enabled, it becomes your child's responsibility to unblock their device through the OurPact Jr. app, installed on their child device. To do so, they will "Play" and "Pause" their allowance timer until their daily time has expired; at this time, their device can only be granted with manual grants from your parent app. (Please note: your child cannot play Allowance time during schedule or manual blocks.)
View is Enabled (iOS, Premium+ Only)
When the View feature is toggled ON in your parent app, your child's iOS device will be in a default blocked state, even outside of their scheduled block times.
When View is enabled, it becomes your child's responsibility to unblock their iOS device through the OurPact Jr. app, installed on their child device. To do so, they will select 'Start Broadcast' which will then provide them access to their apps.
Please note: 'Always Allowed' apps do not require your child to start a broadcast as these apps are not available in View for image capture.
