When OurPact's View feature is enabled to manage child iOS devices, Apple's safety measures require that the device being recorded (or sharing screenshots) grant permission for this action. Your child will allow this permission from within their OurPact Jr. app with the Screen Broadcast prompt.
OurPact will block your child's apps while the Screen Broadcast is not active. Once your child taps Start in OurPact Jr. on their iOS device, the Screen Broadcasting session will start. Your View gallery will start populating with screenshots, and your child's apps will be available until the device is blocked or the broadcast is stopped.
If you are using View and Screen Time Allowance, your child will need to play their Allowance timer after they start the Screen Broadcast.
While View is enabled and your child’s device is not being blocked, you can see if your child has turned on Screen Broadcast directly from your dashboard. If the Broadcast permission is not active, you will see “View paused - Apps hidden" in the Access State box on your dashboard. If Screen Broadcast is active, you will see “View broadcasting - Apps visible” in the Access State box.
