OurPact will never block your child’s device without a command to do so. This means that if you set a timed manual grant, the device won’t default into a block state once that grant period ends unless the device would otherwise be blocked.
There are only three ways that a child device will block at the end of a timed manual grant:
- If there is a scheduled block in place when that time is up
- If Allowance is enabled, blocking the device by default at all times until your child 'plays' their time
- If View is enabled on an iOS device, blocking the device by default at all times until a broadcast is started
The manual grant feature was designed to allow for granting device access on top of scheduled blocks, without your child having to 'play' into Allowance time or the need to disable a recurring schedule.
