What is Quick Pair and How it Works?

Quick Pair is the fastest way to start managing your child’s iPhone or iPad. Quick Pair is not available for Androids. 

If you would like to access all features, or you have an Android, please use Full Pair. It requires your child’s device, a computer, a cable, and the installation of OurPact Connect. 
 

*Quick Pair only blocks apps with age rating of 5+. 

How to Quick Pair:
 

1. Download OurPact Jr. on your child’s iPhone or iPad 

• Find on the App Store: Open the App Store on your child's device and search for "OurPact Jr." to download it.

• Scan QR code: Use the camera on your child's device to scan the QR code below or shown in your Parent App. This will take you directly to the OurPact Jr. App Store page.
   

  

2. Open OurPact Jr. to pair your child's iPhone or iPad

Pairing with a Pair Code: Enter the 6 digit Pair Code to Quick Pair

• How to get a Pair Code: In the OurPact parent app, tap “Pair Device” from the Menu, My Family screen, or the Child Profile. Then select “Quick Pair”, you will see the 6 digit Pair Code. The pairing code has an expiration time, if it's expired you can visit Quick Pair again for the new Pair Code.

Pairing with account login: Login to your account to Quick Pair

• Login with OurPact Account: If you signed up for OurPact using an email and a password, you can login with your account information.
• Sign in with Apple or Google: If you signed up with your Apple account or Google account, you'll need to enter your email and we'll send the one-time password to login. 
   

3. Select Child (Skip if you are pairing with a Pair Code)

After Login to your account to Quick Pair, Select which Child does this device belong to. If the child is not listed yet, you may add a new child here.

4. Download Profile

1. Tap “Download Profile”.
2. When a modal appears, tap “Allow”.
3. Once the profile is downloaded, tap “Close”.

5. Navigate to Settings and Open Profile Downloaded

1. Tap “Go to Settings” or manually navigate to your phone's settings page on your phone. 
2. Tap "Profile Downloaded", it might be hidden under "More for Your iPhone".

6. Install Profile and Start Managing

1. When the Install Profile drawer appears tap “Install”, this brings up the Install Profile pop up, tap “Install”. 
2. When the Warning drawer appears tap "Install", this brings up the Remote Management pop up, tap “Trust”.
3. After Profile is installed tap "✔", this brings up App Management Change pop up, tap "Manage".

7. Navigate to OurPact Jr. to confirm pairing

Close Settings and return to OurPact Jr. You should see a Child Dashboard with your child’s name on it. If you do, the pairing was successful. You can now manage your child’s device and use the features available with Quick Pair.
