Pairing with OurPact's Connect pairing application is quick and easy; because each family has different hardware and/or software for their devices, these tips will help to have the smoothest pairing experience with Connect.
- If possible, use a USB port on your computer, not a USB hub.
- Make sure that the cable you are using to connect your child's device is a data cable and not just a charging cable.
- The factory cable that comes with the device will be a data cable.
- Before starting the pairing process, check that both your computer and your child’s device do not have any pending updates and that your child's phone or tablet is running the most up-to-date version.
- Create a backup of the device in iCloud or using Google One.
- Check that your child’s device has available storage (OurPact management does not use a significant amount of storage on your child’s device.)
If you are pairing an iOS device:
- If you are using a Windows computer to pair your child’s iOS device, you must have iTunes installed and open.

If Find My Phone is greyed out on your child's device:
- Verify that your child's device is signed into Apple ID & iCloud. If you are logged into iCloud/Apple ID, try to sign out of Apple ID and sign back in.
- Make sure that the device is connected to the internet, preferably a strong WiFi network.
- Disable any existing Restrictions:
- iOS 12 and above: Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > Disable Restrictions
- iOS 11 and below: Settings > General > Restrictions > Disable Restrictions
- Reset the network settings (Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings).
If you are pairing an Android device:
- Family Link will need to be disabled if you are using it.

If your child has a Google account for a child under 13, you must log out of both the child's Google account and your parent Google account.
- If any apps on your child's device are logged in using their Google account, you will need to also log out of those apps.
