How to full pair iPhone and iPad (iOS 26+) child devices to your OurPact account:
Before pairing your child's device:
Please ensure your child's iOS device is using Safari as the default browser for the pairing process.
Remove any previous management profiles:
If your child’s device currently has a management profile installed from another parental control or device management service, that profile will need to be removed before OurPact can be installed successfully.
To check your child’s device for any previous profiles:
Settings > General > VPN and Device Management > Configuration Profiles.
1. Sign up with OurPact (skip if you already have an account)
You can SIGN UP by create an OurPact account or choose “Sign Up with Apple” or “Sign Up with Google.”
2. Download and Install OurPact Connect
Navigate to connect.ourpact.com in Chrome, Safari, or Firefox on a computer (Internet Explorer or Edge does not support installation). Download OurPact Connect.
Please note: If you are using a Windows computer to pair your child's iOS device, you will also need to have iTunes installed and opened on your computer when pairing with Connect. Mac computers or Android child devices do not require iTunes.
Don't have a computer? If your child has an iPhone or iPad, you can access limited features using Quick Pair.
3. Open OurPact Connect to Start Pairing
Launch the newly downloaded Connect application from your Downloads / Applications.
Start by selecting 'Pair' and iOS for the device type.
(If you're pairing your child's Android device, please follow these instructions.)
Enter your OurPact account email and password, or sign in using the Apple or Google Single Sign-On.
Connect your child's device to your computer using a USB or charging cable.
Accept the 'Trust' prompt on your child's device. If you have previously trusted the computer you are using for installation, you may not get this prompt.
(If you can't move past the 'Trust' prompt in the installation, please click here for more help.)
Disable 'Find My Phone' on your child's device if enabled. To do so, navigate to the device Settings > Apple ID > Find My > then turn 'Find My Phone' OFF.
You will need your child's Apple ID login information to turn off 'Find My Phone.'
If you can't disable Find My Phone on your child's device, please click HERE.
Choose to pair the device to an existing child profile or create a new one.
If choosing to create a new child profile, enter the new child profile name. This name can be changed later in your management dashboard.
The next steps will happen automatically on your child's device. Please do not disconnect your child's device from your computer until you see the 'Success' screen at the end of the Connect installation.
Your child's device will automatically restart.
If prompted, enter your child's device PIN to unlock the device.
The Connect installation is almost done!
Next, you will need to unlock your child's device. You will be asked to enter your child's passcode.
The next page will direct you to a QR code. Scan the QR in Connect to complete the installation of the Mobile Device Management Profile (MDM Profile).
You must use the SAFARI browser to complete the MDM profile installation.
Please ensure your child's default browser is Safari so the QR code opens in the correct browser. After OurPact installation, you can change the default browser to something other than Safari if you prefer.
Open the Settings app on your child's device, then follow the instructions on the Connect screen to install the MDM profile.
After you tap Install for the final time, OurPact's installation is complete, and you can begin managing your child's device!
If you don't have a computer:*
- Download and open OurPact Jr. on your child's iOS device
- Tap 'Don't have a computer?'
- Sign in & follow the prompts to pair
*Free Accounts: Connect setup isn't required for Free accounts with child iOS devices, but it does unlock access to Safari blocking and App Organizer (OurPact's solution for iOS app 'scrambling' after blocks). If you have a computer, we strongly encourage completing the setup through OurPact Connect.
**Premium / Premium+ Accounts: OurPact Connect is required to lock down the management profile on your child's device as well as to access Premium/Premium+ features on iOS child devices. If you don't have a computer, please downgrade your Subscription and follow the italicized steps above on your child's device.
