Is My Family's Data Safe?

Yes!  Your family's safety is a top priority and has always been a core value of OurPact. We collect only the minimum amount of information to allow you to manage your child's device with our management features.  

Your data is NEVER sold or given to third parties; it is stored and transmitted to the highest industry security standards.

Your data is only retained for as long as needed to provide you service, and you can request to delete your account and data at any time.

Data from parent devices:

• Email Address- This data is used as your login username and to send you account communications.
• A Name or Nickname for Your Child- This data is used to identify your child's profile within the app.
• Child Age & Gender (optional)- This data is used to provide app usage guidance for your child's cohort.
• Child Avatar (optional)- This data is an image uploaded by the parent to make identifying different child profiles easier.
• Geofence Definitions (Lat/Lon., Radius, Name, In and/or Out Notification setting)- This data is optionally collected.  Parents can choose to specify geofences so that if their child goes in or out of the specified boundary, they can be notified.
• Locale- This data allows us to send necessary service messages in the correct language.
• IP Address- This data is held in raw logs only; it is used to identify connections that could negatively impact service availability.  This data is only stored temporarily.

Data from child devices:

• Device Location- This data is optionally collected only if you enable the Family Locator feature for management and location services for OurPact Jr. on the child's device.
• Allowance Play/Pause Events- This data is only collected from the child's device if you enable the Allowance feature for management and is used to give your child access to their device based on the settings you create.
• Locale- This data allows us to send necessary service messages in the correct language.
• IP Address- This data is held in raw logs only; it is used to identify connections that could negatively impact service availability.  This data is only stored temporarily.
• Device Images- This data is optionally collected only if you enable the View feature for management.  Images are encrypted end-to-end and are only visible through your account by decrypting images with your private key.  Encrypted image data is only stored temporarily.
• List of Installed Apps- This data is used to provide you the ability to see what apps your child has installed on their device and to use the App Rules feature to select which apps your child should be allowed to use and when.
